Days 16-18: Windermere in Pictures

On the train headed to Windermere, we rode in the quiet car.
Meggan and my bedroom for the weekend
Us in our window seat
Ready for dinner the first night in town
Our home for the weekend. It was really cute, each room was different and they cooked us breakfast in the mornings.
Walking around town
Our first view of the lake!
So pretty, the whole town overlooks this.
Geese are all over! I pet this one
Look at all the birds.
Pretty view of the lake
Looking over the water
Weirdest tv channel ever, it's a dating channel where you can text in and chat with people
Matching and ready to hike!
BGB! We took the ferry up the lake to go hiking
Michael and I in our matching jackets. Probably the smartest thing I've bought all trip, a soft shell jacket for 24 pounds! These things were warm and awesome in the rain.
Lake in the early morning
On the ferry
A cute manor that has been turned into a hotel, the boathouse is now the bridal suite.
Our destination!
We found the trail!
Meggan and me at the beginning of the hike
It was so pretty everywhere
Group photo at the first waterfall. We all have picnic lunches, jackets and water, ready to go!
Me in front of the water
Meggan and Josh
Me and Meggan
Girls walking through the woods
A lot of the trail has railings at the edge so you don't slip and fall. Eventually we were on top of that waterfall.
Bridge over the water
Everyone standing on the bridge
On the other side of the bridge, the water is below us. We ate lunch over here and hung out for a bit.
Top of the falls
The falls splits and there are rocks in the middle so we climbed across
Looking back up at the bridge from the middle of the water
Climbing expert!
Everyone else back on land
The views from our climb were great!
I leaned over a rock to take these pictures
The other half of the falls that you can't see from the trail
More of the falls
Me with the waterfall
Michael on the very edge of the rock
Looking back up
We were the only two that were willing to climb both up and down the waterfalls
This whole place was so pretty and just fun to hang out in. I'm pretty sure it was raining here but the trees covered us
Our find of the day
A tree covered in money! I guess money grown in trees here.
The path down on the other side of everything
In the water
We actually drank out of the stream, it was really good.
Cool bridge
The whole group
Looking up stream from the bridge
A cool little passage I climbed up to
Meggan and Me in the passage
A cool spiderweb back by the docks
boats in the mist
Everyone out in the rain by the lake
Me and Meggan in a tree
We were basically cold and miserable at this time so we decided to head back and shower and relax before dinner.
Bob on a bench!

So we had a great weekend exploring the lake district. We ate really good pizza and garlic bread the first night and then Chinese food the next night. We spent Sunday shopping and exploring the village and got back into London around 8:15 tonight.
