Day 10: A Whale of a time in Wales

Today was a long day! I woke up bright and early at 6:30 after not going to sleep until around 3:00, made coffee in my room and got ready for our adventure in Wales. I hate not knowing the weather, last night it said 40% chance of rain and cloudy all day, well I woke up to bright sunlight this morning and predictions of 10% chance of rain. Crazy! We brought umbrellas and jackets just in case but it turned out to be a nice day. Caught the tube to Paddington (like the bear!!) station where we ate delicious bagel sandwich things for breakfast while waiting for our 8:45 train. Once on the train we found our seats in first class (which were really really nice) and got settled. Surprisingly I did hw on the train, and got to nap too. The ride was about 2 hours and we arrived in Cardiff. We wandered the town, which is interesting because it's so old looking but they have a lot of modern shops (like TK Maxx). We toured the castle, which was a legit old time medieval castle (just like the ones you draw as a kid). It was cool and we got to see a trebuchet launch. After that we took the bus down to the harbor and ate fish and chips from the worlds best fish and chips shop (it's in the Guinness Book of World Records). It was good! We wandered around the harbor for a bit and relaxed out in the sun. There were lots of street vendors selling jewelry and stuff. After catching the train back to London Meggan and I wandered around High Street Kensington and ate at Whole Foods, then we caught the number 10 bus back to the school. Tomorrow we are planning to do a Harry Potter day and visit places from the book and then go shopping!
First class tickets!

The infinite shot setting on my camera is perfect for jumping pics!

With our audio tour things. They were like old cell phones!
