16 Days!

Today was a very long but exciting day. I got up really early to drive to Dallas and sign my lease before coming back for class. So I am officially an apartment renter! I can move in May 16. After class Emily, Reagan and I met with the woman in charge of catering at La Fiesta to pick our menu for the graduation party. Then we went through jewel degree with the rest of the ADPi graduating seniors. We are all now officially ADPi alum! Exciting but weird. Tomorrow is my last day of class here.

17 Days

Monday was another day off. I got drug tested for my new job and did a little shopping for my new place. Tuesday was my last ADPi chapter meeting ever! It was really weird to think that I would never got to another one. We had senior recognition and everyone got a little star dangle for their pin. We also had cupcakes, which were very good. After meeting a bunch of us went to dinner at Elite and while we were there the weather got a little crazy. Waco was under a tornado warning until around 10 because there were some tornadoes (now a confirmed 6!) in the areas near us. Nothing hit Waco that I know of but campus was locked down, and we got some hail. It made for a very interesting Tuesday!
Only 3 classes left!

19 Days

Can't believe Graduation is less than 20 days away! Since the last post I've been to Houston, back to Waco, to Dallas, back to Waco and finally back to Houston. I came home for Easter break Thursday afternoon to drop off furniture for Kristin. Friday morning my Mom and Dad and I headed to Waco to pick up a drug test packet (which wasn't there) and packed up some of my apartment. We headed to Dallas that night and spent the day apartment hunting. So, as long as my application gets approved I'll be living at Villa Miranda in Las Colinas starting in May! The apartment is on the third floor, has a nice balcony, and a really nice kitchen. The only downside is I don't have a washer/dryer. So that will probably be my first purchase.
 My apartment!
The kitchen. It has a pantry and laundry room

Dining room looking into my bedroom
Living room and fireplace
Today is Easter and I finally got to sleep in. I met my friend Johanna for lunch at PF Changs this afternoon which was really nice. We hadn't seen each other in a long time and it was really good to catch up. Other than that I've been working on a paper and making a list of all the things I need to do in the next few weeks.

Today I got the best call of the semester! My official offer from Target. So I start work May 31 and will be working somewhere in West Dallas. Super excited to go apartment hunting and for graduation to get here now!

24 Days

I'm now down to five days of classes in the school year. SCARY. It is finally beginning to feel like everything is coming to an end. I took my last exam of the semester today, and next week will turn in my last research paper EVER. School ending is such a surreal feeling, it keeps getting closer and closer but somehow I can't seem to picture my life without school. It's the one thing that has been totally constant for pretty much as long as I can remember. It's going to be strange to have a job and real responsibility next year.
Last night was the first chapter meeting I went to all semester. Instead of watching Passion of the Christ I decided to go to chapter meeting and to the senior meeting. It's crazy to think that in about a week I'll be an alumni member of Alpha Delta Pi.
Today was my last day at work in the TC. There was a senior dinner put on by the admissions office to thank all of us tonight and then I worked for two hours.
The most exciting news of the day is that I got an email from Target! They are extending me an offer for the ETL position and wanted to set up a time to call and make the official offer! So it looks like I will be employed after graduation after all :)

26 Days

Saturday night was my very last formal with ADPi. We went to Arlington to the Texas Rangers Ballpark for the night. It was a lot of fun and a great way to spend my last formal. We toured the ballpark, ate delicious food, and danced.
Sunday Ryan and I went to Health Camp for burgers and shakes. Then I had to go to work where we only worked a half shift and then had an Easter party! We had an Easter egg hunt all over Robinson Tower and ate pizza and cupcakes.

28 Days

Yesterday was my very last Diadeloso, or day of the bear! It's a holiday we have here at Baylor where we get a whole day off to do whatever we want. I picked up my graduation cord for ALD that day and spent the rest of the day chilling.
Today Ryan, Marc and I went cliff jumping! It was epic. So much fun, and I can't wait to go again. Then Morgan, Ryan and I went to see Scream 4, which was actually really good! We ended the night in the hottub and watching Buffy

 Graduation gown!
Butterbeer! It came out so tasty
 Ryan on the cliff
Me jumping!

30 Days Part 2

Since my original post today was just a check list of things to do in Waco before graduation I figured I'd have a real post too. Today Emily and I made a target trip in search of a graduation dress for her and a bug toy for Lace. We didn't find the bugs but we did end up with a bunch of other stuff. Including a new nail polish I bought Jasper this really cute frog fountain! I also bought these really cute plates because they were $1.50 and they are microwavable and dishwasher safe. Reagan has the same kind of set here and they are pretty nice to have. Emily and I found matching bowls and dishtowels too. We then spent waayy to much time in the home section looking at stuff to decorate apartments with. I can't wait to have my own place to decorate.

31 Days

This whole waiting to hear back from a job interview is really hard. I just keep telling myself that no news is good news because if they didn't want me I would know right away. That makes sense right?
This week is Dia week which means after my one class tomorrow I'm done with school for the week!! I love extra long weekends.
The nice thing about today was I got one of my projects out of the way, turned in the journal for psychotherapy and counseling and I actually did a good amount of research in the Texas Collection.
I'm also making a list of things to do before I leave here for good
1. Cliff Jumping at Lake Whitney
2. Hike in Cameron Park once more
3. Eat at Fat Ho Burgers!
4. Eat a garlic olive oil and spinach pizza from shortys one more time
5. Eat a Health Camp burger and get a milkshake one last time
6. Run through the BSB fountains again
7. Go to Kitoks
That is all I can think of for now. Hopefully a few of those will be accomplished this weekend

34 Days!

Last night was the Lady Gaga Concert here in Houston. Morgan and I had a blast hanging out and getting ready and then at the concert. I also got an exciting email yesterday! I got into one of the graduate programs I applied to at Texas State. I also have a letter from the other program waiting for me when I get back to Waco.
Today has been pretty chill. I worked on a paper and ran errands with my dad.
Tour bus parked outside Toyota Center!!
 Super excited to go in!

36 Days!

This week and the last few days have mostly just been business as usual. School, work, homework, etc. This morning was exciting though. I had my final interview with Target! It went well, and I'm not getting my hopes up but it would be awesome to get the job. I'm back in Houston tonight, I stopped at the outlet mall on the way in and got a dress for graduation. Right now I'm watching Bones and chilling with Ribbon, who seems very excited to see me!

38 Days

Day 39 and 38 were pretty much the same so they get one blog post. Monday I had film, and we watched Pulp Fiction. Today I had class all day. Got a 100 on my History test which was cool, that makes two 100's so far in that class! With grades like that I'm almost tempted to not write the paper and just take a C in the class. Kidding, but really, not motivated to do the research.
After class Emily acted as my photographer to take some pictures so I would have one to put in my graduation announcements. The results are below.

Emily's personal favorite, my throwing my cap and it almost blowing away haha

40 Days!

Only a little over a month left now. This weekend there were no updates because I spent the weekend in Austin celebrating my birthday with Ryan and his family. So here is a recap of what I've been up to.
42 Days
Today was my birthday! 22 years old, and I definitely feel older this year. 22 feels much more grown up than 21, and graduation quickly approaching means the real world is closing in. I spent most of my afternoon hiking. Ryan and I drove out to Enchanted Rock and hiked to the top. Which was actually a lot harder than it sounds. We chose to hike the summit trail because it was the only one that took you to the top of the rock. Starting off the trail seemed simple, lots of rocks to climb but nothing too bad. As soon as we got out of the trees the climb turned into a steep walk up the face of the rock. After quite a few rest stops we finally reached the top! The view was really cool, and the hike back down wasn't bad. For dinner we went to Chupacabra a Tex-Mex restaurant on 6th street.
 Ready to go!
Finally made it to the top!
 About halfway down the rock
 Sunset on the way home
The Cockfight, one of Chupacabra's specialty drinks
41 Days!
Today we got up bright and early (ok like 10:30) packed a cooler with snacks and lunch and drove to New Braunfels to float the river. It looked like it was going to be cloudy at first but about an hour into our 4 1/2 hour float the sun came out. We ended the day sunburned and tired driving back to Austin to relax. That night Ryan and I met up with his friend Lance to eat at Kerbey Lane.
Birthday cake from Ryan and his parents!
Day 40
Today was the day of unhealthy eating. For lunch we ate at Jackalope. Ryan and I both had hotdogs that were wrapped in Bacon, deep fried ans served on a hoagie with cheese, jalapenos, and spicy mayo. So good, yet so bad. We worked off the hotdogs by going kayaking! Very tiring, but a lot of fun.
 In the kayak
 View from the river
Turtles and ducks, saw a lot of these this weekend
