Day 8: Do I really have to go to school?

Getting up this morning was slightly hard, when my alarm went off at 6:30 I did not want to roll out of bed and get ready for school. The sun was up though so that helped (it comes up around 5 something). For breakfast we walked over to the cafeteria and ate eggs, hash browns, cereal and some kind of sweet bread stuff that I thought was going to be toast. The best thing about breakfast was the super legit coffee machine that makes espresso, mocha chinos, coffee with milk, and hot chocolate. There were like 9 choices! The first day of class was good, we spent awhile asking Dr. Weaver travel questions and then talked a little about psych. It seems like it will be a fun class and pretty chill, we travel everyday (it's optional but an easy way to see cool stuff if you don't have plans) and can invite friends on the trips so our whole group is probably going to follow Dr. Weaver around a lot.
After class everyone who wanted to go met up to go on a walking tour of London given to us by Dr. Weaver. We lost a lot of people along the way and walked pretty fast but we saw a lot and it gave us practice with the buses and the tube. The walking tour is what pretty much all my pictures are from today, sadly I did not get a picture of the very friendly squirrel in St. James park. He jumped on a lady's lap and let her pet him! So my new goal of the trip is to get a picture petting a squirrel. We ate lunch in this really good sandwich shop/ bakery. I had lemon cheesecake, a bacon/ cheese croissant and a sausage croissant. Super cheap and we took the food to eat on the steps near the National Gallery.
We also got to check out the new Audi A1 today which hasn't even gone on sale so that was cool, it was randomly in Leicester square so we checked it out during lunch. People have super nice cars here, we've seen a lot of Audis, a couple Aston Martins, a Maserati, a Bentley and a Rolls Royce already. The car dealerships are weird too, next to the airport we saw a six floor Audi dealership! I guess they build up instead of out here.
This evening Meggan and I met our friend Rebecca, who is here for an internship, for dinner in Leicester square. We went to a really good Italian place and tried something called "Pims", It's some drink that is really popular here. While at dinner we spotted Will Smith and his family and Jackie Chan! The premiere of Jaden Smith's movie Karate Kid was tonight here and they came for the red carpet premiere! I of course ran across the square and took pictures. It was a really cool dinner experience, then we shopped a bit and headed back to the dorms on the tube. After today I feel like Meggan and I are experts at the underground!
Right now we are booking rooms at a B&B for next weekend in the lake district.
First trip on the underground!
Victoria station, this is one of the larger stations where you can also catch a train
