43 Days

Yum! Lemon cupcakes with raspberry icing. Reagan is such a good cook! Tonight we had an early birthday celebration for me. Jenny, Maddie, Reagan, Emily, Molly, Katie and I went to George's for dinner and margaritas and then Ellie joined us at home for yummy cupcakes and iced tea. Good night :)

44 Days!

Graduation is getting so close! Today the roomies and I worked on our grad party plans! We talked to La Fiesta about booking their Fiesta House now we just have to call back and finalize the plans to actually book the place! Then we just need a cake. Other than that I mostly just studied, looked into a few jobs and went to class. It has been weirdly cold all week so I'm hoping for some sun and pool time tomorrow!

45 Days

Another day of classes. Got my test back in psychology, and I got a 105 which was cool. I also worked on my final paper for that class which involved making up a client and using two forms of therapy to treat them. I also worked tonight, we got to leave early to watch the Lady Bears basketball game, which sadly they lost. The roommates and I also worked on graduation party plans, we are trying to find a location to have dinner with all our families and get a cake and stuff. I'm so ready for this weekend and for my birthday!

46 Days!

Today was business as usual. Woke up, cuddled with Jasper and read for awhile. Went to my one class, ran a few errands and went to my film screenings. Tonight we watched Friday the 13th (the original) and The Long Kiss Goodnight. I hadn't seen either, which is always fun and both were pretty good. Enjoyed Friday the 13th more than the other though. I've been working on homework since then, and studying history. Now it's time to give some attention to Jasper who has been sitting on the floor with his piece of string crying pathetically.

 

Also, how cool do I look? One of my friends, Justin, recently purchased a rifle and I got to check it out. It has a light and it super legit. (Don't worry it's not loaded)

47 Days

Today was like most Sundays. Pretty lazy. I worked from 2-6. We had a score guessing competition for the KU/VCU game and I got second place! I predicted 67-65 with VCU winning. After work I came home, made dinner and spent the rest of the night watching movies and doing homework.

48 Days

Such a relaxing day! The morning started with an initiation ceremony welcoming some new sisters into ADPi. Early morning, but exciting to have new official sisters! The rest of the afternoon has been spent at the pool hanging out with this adorable girl!

I'm seriously obsessed with this puppy! Susie and Graham found her by the side of the road and when she didn't have a microchip they adopted her. She is a total ball of energy and so much fun! Lucy loved digging in that dirt, and she even got in the pool for a swim! I would love a dog just like her. So all in all it was a successful afternoon getting tan, swimming and hanging out with friends.
In other news the AC at my house is getting fixed! For some reason it hasn't been able to cool the house down at all even though it has been on for a week. It was 90 when we got home today and super humid. So we opened some windows, turned the air off and called out landlord. So Monday morning the AC is getting looked at. The house has cooled down a lot since we turned the air off though.

49 Days

The countdown chain keeps getting shorter and shorter.

My roommates made this last week, each day has something written on it and we can rip one off each day until graduation.
Not much eventful going on here. No class on Fridays means I got to sleep in. I spent most of the morning and early afternoon packing some stuff up. The house is starting to look weird with stuff missing. My walls are a lot emptier now. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing at the pool with Ellie before an ADPi pre-initiation ceremony.

50 Days!

Wow 50 days until graduation! While a lot of people have used facebook to post a picture a day counting down to graduation I figured I'd use my blog. So the goal is to write each day about what I'm doing my last 50 days before graduating.
So Day 50:
Thursday, which was a school day. I had a test in psychology, went to class and then went to Petco to buy cat and rat food and bedding and ended up with this little guy!

I decided Bailey should have a friend to play with, and so far things are going well. After talking to the Petco guy about how to introduce rats to each other and doing some research online I spent last night slowly introducing Bailey and her new friend. After a successful face to face meeting and a cleaning and rearranging of the cage the two went into their new home.
Other than a relaxing trip to the pool with Emily not a whole lot happened. I hung out with Ellie, Barrett, Sam, Shelby, Chelsea, and Jenn for awhile at night which was fun.
