30 Days Part 2

Since my original post today was just a check list of things to do in Waco before graduation I figured I'd have a real post too. Today Emily and I made a target trip in search of a graduation dress for her and a bug toy for Lace. We didn't find the bugs but we did end up with a bunch of other stuff. Including a new nail polish I bought Jasper this really cute frog fountain! I also bought these really cute plates because they were $1.50 and they are microwavable and dishwasher safe. Reagan has the same kind of set here and they are pretty nice to have. Emily and I found matching bowls and dishtowels too. We then spent waayy to much time in the home section looking at stuff to decorate apartments with. I can't wait to have my own place to decorate.

31 Days

This whole waiting to hear back from a job interview is really hard. I just keep telling myself that no news is good news because if they didn't want me I would know right away. That makes sense right?
This week is Dia week which means after my one class tomorrow I'm done with school for the week!! I love extra long weekends.
The nice thing about today was I got one of my projects out of the way, turned in the journal for psychotherapy and counseling and I actually did a good amount of research in the Texas Collection.
I'm also making a list of things to do before I leave here for good
1. Cliff Jumping at Lake Whitney
2. Hike in Cameron Park once more
3. Eat at Fat Ho Burgers!
4. Eat a garlic olive oil and spinach pizza from shortys one more time
5. Eat a Health Camp burger and get a milkshake one last time
6. Run through the BSB fountains again
7. Go to Kitoks
That is all I can think of for now. Hopefully a few of those will be accomplished this weekend

34 Days!

Last night was the Lady Gaga Concert here in Houston. Morgan and I had a blast hanging out and getting ready and then at the concert. I also got an exciting email yesterday! I got into one of the graduate programs I applied to at Texas State. I also have a letter from the other program waiting for me when I get back to Waco.
Today has been pretty chill. I worked on a paper and ran errands with my dad.
Tour bus parked outside Toyota Center!!
 Super excited to go in!

36 Days!

This week and the last few days have mostly just been business as usual. School, work, homework, etc. This morning was exciting though. I had my final interview with Target! It went well, and I'm not getting my hopes up but it would be awesome to get the job. I'm back in Houston tonight, I stopped at the outlet mall on the way in and got a dress for graduation. Right now I'm watching Bones and chilling with Ribbon, who seems very excited to see me!

38 Days

Day 39 and 38 were pretty much the same so they get one blog post. Monday I had film, and we watched Pulp Fiction. Today I had class all day. Got a 100 on my History test which was cool, that makes two 100's so far in that class! With grades like that I'm almost tempted to not write the paper and just take a C in the class. Kidding, but really, not motivated to do the research.
After class Emily acted as my photographer to take some pictures so I would have one to put in my graduation announcements. The results are below.

Emily's personal favorite, my throwing my cap and it almost blowing away haha

40 Days!

Only a little over a month left now. This weekend there were no updates because I spent the weekend in Austin celebrating my birthday with Ryan and his family. So here is a recap of what I've been up to.
42 Days
Today was my birthday! 22 years old, and I definitely feel older this year. 22 feels much more grown up than 21, and graduation quickly approaching means the real world is closing in. I spent most of my afternoon hiking. Ryan and I drove out to Enchanted Rock and hiked to the top. Which was actually a lot harder than it sounds. We chose to hike the summit trail because it was the only one that took you to the top of the rock. Starting off the trail seemed simple, lots of rocks to climb but nothing too bad. As soon as we got out of the trees the climb turned into a steep walk up the face of the rock. After quite a few rest stops we finally reached the top! The view was really cool, and the hike back down wasn't bad. For dinner we went to Chupacabra a Tex-Mex restaurant on 6th street.
 Ready to go!
Finally made it to the top!
 About halfway down the rock
 Sunset on the way home
The Cockfight, one of Chupacabra's specialty drinks
41 Days!
Today we got up bright and early (ok like 10:30) packed a cooler with snacks and lunch and drove to New Braunfels to float the river. It looked like it was going to be cloudy at first but about an hour into our 4 1/2 hour float the sun came out. We ended the day sunburned and tired driving back to Austin to relax. That night Ryan and I met up with his friend Lance to eat at Kerbey Lane.
Birthday cake from Ryan and his parents!
Day 40
Today was the day of unhealthy eating. For lunch we ate at Jackalope. Ryan and I both had hotdogs that were wrapped in Bacon, deep fried ans served on a hoagie with cheese, jalapenos, and spicy mayo. So good, yet so bad. We worked off the hotdogs by going kayaking! Very tiring, but a lot of fun.
 In the kayak
 View from the river
Turtles and ducks, saw a lot of these this weekend
