Jasper Slapped: Day 9

After class today Meggan, Michael, Juliana and I joined Dr. Weaver, Dr. D-G and his family for the afternoon. We walked to Harrods, which was amazing! It is huge, I feel like you could get lost in there. We saw a million dollar bathtub, a diamond covered pen which a man was looking at and he asked if it was the most expensive pen available and gold bars that you can exchange money for. Harrods is insane, designer stuff everywhere and tons of food. I don't think we've even seen half the store. After Harrods we went to Victoria station to make BritRail reservations and grabbed sandwiches for lunch. We rode the bus to Westminster crossed the Thames and ate on the steps of County Hall. Then we walked the entire south bank until we ended up at St. Paul's. There were a lot of cool street performers along the river that we looked at. We also walked down to the river bank. We ended up down at the Millennium bridge and St. Paul's. After our walk Michael and I went back to Harrods and wandered around there. We saw a 12,000 pound bottle of cognac and did a wine tasting. Here you get a full glass (full size in America) as your taster. We tried a Chianti, a Remole (like a Cabernet) and something that was like Chardonnay. We also went up to the pet level in Harrods and checked out the designer pet stuff. It was really funny, they even have jewelry! I picked Jasper up some kitty caviar while I was there. We walked around electronics and played with the cool stereos before heading home. On the street I found scarves that were 3 for 5 pounds and bought some along with postcards and stamps. For dinner we went to Wagamama in Leicester square. It was awesome, such a good Asian food place. After dinner I saw Inception which is by far the best movie I've seen in awhile and then we got ice cream on the way home. We had our first fire drill tonight which was not very exciting. Tomorrow we go to Wales for the day!
