So this is officially the last week of my junior year here at Baylor. WOW. I can't believe I've been here in Waco for three years already. This time next year I'll be celebrating things like last day of college ever, and last first final exam, scary huh? The end of this year comes with not only excitement for the summer but bittersweet feelings of losing a senior class that I for once have really good friends in. Last night was our last ADPi meeting of the semester and the seniors did their traditional walk out and it was weird. I can't imagine not seeing some of their faces every day, or every week, and I really can't picture myself next year celebrating my last meeting ever. Such a weird feeling.
In a way I really can't wait for this year to be over, this semester has been my hardest by far and the fact that I have 5 papers to write this week (thankfully I've finished 3) and a test plus final next week makes me want to get it all over with. It'll will be a sad ending though with friends leaving, many of whom I won't see again in the fall and the terrifying prospect of the almost end of college. Last night I pulled my first all nighter of my college career. I always hoped I could get away with not pulling one but I really needed to get this paper finished so I can move on to the other papers I have to write. It's going to be a long week. My last days at Waco Center for Youth are also coming up, a place I will miss a lot this summer. It's a weird feeling to think that next year is my last here, it should be blast I have very high expectations for senior year and I'm looking forward to what summer and senior year will bring.
On an awesome note I leave for London in 71 days!! Ballin!
Oh and last week was Diadeloso, the best and most frattastic Baylor holiday ever. It's a random day we get off full of tug-o-war, music festivals, dog shows and for a lot of people celebrating on 10th street. It was a lot of fun (see pics below)!

If the zombie apocalypse happened soon we would have the first half black, half white, all zombie president... Can you still be president if you're a zombie?
This weekend was Black Diamond Formal, and it was fantastic! So much fun, so much dancing and so much photobooth! We had formal at this really pretty house out in China Spring. It was in this building on some peoples property, and even though it was raining it was really pretty. The food was fantastic, and we had a really cool photobooth to take photos in. I also made friends with the police officer who was our security and got to play with the handcuffs and he showed me how the taser and the baton worked!

White People getting Crunk Should be its own Sport!
No seriously it should! This Friday was stompfest here at Baylor. Stompfest is an event (that was originally called Afro Olympics) put on by a few of the multicultural sororities that is a stomp competition. So there is a coed division and a non coed division and groups from Asian student association, to STUFU, and all the sororities and fraternities participate. This years theme was decades, so each group had a time period to base their act around and everyone gets coaches and attempts to be crunk. Some of the groups are really good, and this year a performing arts high school came and performed at the end. It's so entertaining. ADPi did a future themed act and it was really cute, they had some cool black light effects. And the Asian kids rapped about what else, egg rolls. Haha.
On Saturday I went to the Phi Alpha Theta regional conference in the oh so exciting Sherman Texas. For my Britain in the 20th Century class we could present one of our papers at the conference for our final exam. It was a really long day, but surprisingly fun. We had to meet at school at 4:45am to drive up to Austin College so that was ridiculously early. Some of the other girls in my class and I sat in on a session so we could see how presenting went and then we just hung out the rest of the day. They gave us breakfast and lunch and there were a few speakers and a cool movie this guy made as part of his thesis. I presented at like 1:30 that afternoon, my paper was on The Sex Pistols, I was in a room with another girl I knew named Emily who wrote about woman punk rockers and a third girl who's paper was on Luther and church hymns. It went really well, I was terrified I wouldn't be able to answer any questions but everyone really liked the punk rock papers and we had a fun discussion after our papers were over. It was a good way to get a final exam out of the way!
I also registered for classes this week. Only 4 classes to graduate! So I'm really filling my schedule with random stuff for the next year. I'm taking Learning and Behavior, Theories in Psychotherapy and Counseling, Adolescent Development, Extreme Deviance, and Renaissance and Reformation.

Birthday Weekend 2.0
Here is the update on the rest of my birthday weekend!
It was a long ride as we also had to drive to Fulshear to drop Ashley's dog off at her parents house. Once we got to my house we ate amazing macaroni with my parents. It was so so good! We also took a trip to both Specs and Houston discount liquor just for fun. That night we went to a club/ bar called Drink Houston with my friends Jason and Bethany. We also went down to Washington and went to Region and met up with our friend Scott. We ended the night at Taco Stand.
Saturday: Ashley, Emily, and I went downtown to the Galleria, the waterwall and to a Specs that covers an entire city block. It was cool, the Specs was huge and has like a coffee shop and a grocery store.
We went to dinner at Outback that night with my parents. Sooo good! I love the blooming onion! That night we went to South Beach to dance because it has a lot of fun music and a really cool fog thing that happens every hour. After SoBe we ended the night at St. Danes with our new friend Scott who we met at SoBe. I had a drink that was on fire there, it was cool.
Sunday: Emily and I went to Brunch with her family, and went to church and had dinner with mine. We also had an Easter Egg hunt!! So all in all it was a good weekend.
Friday: Ashley, Emily and I got up and road tripped to Houston with Jasper and Lucy. Along the way Jasper threw up in the car, we now know he can't have milk and ride in cars. We also stopped to take pictures in blue bonnets like last year.

A very Happy Birthday to me!!
Oh my gosh, 21 FINALLYY!!! Such an exciting birthday! I can't wait to finish off the weekend in Houston with my friends and family! We've now celebrated two nights in a row! Love love love it! Not having x's on my hand is the coolest feeling ever, and people are so fun when it's your birthday! I'll add some pictures to the post later when I put them on my computer but it's been a good two days.
Wednesday at midnight Ashley, Emily and I headed out to Scruffy Murphys for karaoke night. We met up with Chance and Reed and a few other friends there and ran into about a dozen other people we knew. I thankfully did not have to sing, it was threatened that they would make me sing for my birthday but it didn't happen. People were so nice and kept buying shots and drinks, and since Scruffs is a very Baylor hang out we ran into a lot of people. So it was a really fun night full of dancing and celebration.
Today I slept in and hung out packing and doing hw all afternoon. Then we went out to dinner, which was nice. Emily, Jenny, Molly and I went to La Fiesta which is always good. We got some delicious queso and margaritas. We also went to Piano Man at Treffs tonight. It's basically a night where this guy who plays piano and a guy who plays drums play songs all night and people sing and dance along. Lots of fun, had a friend who was working and gave me free birthday drinks. We also ran into some people we knew. It was good times, Me, Emily, Ashley, and Scott had a blast. So its been a really fun birthday!
I also got a bottle of Ed Hardy vodka for my birthday, essence of douchebag with every sip, haha. It just makes you want to fist pump. Actually its pretty good, and the bottle is pretty! Tomorrow we are headed to Houston to finish out Easter break. Should be a great weekend!
